Sights and Sounds

“The major theme that raw through this projects is how New York changed and how is changing nowadays. Changing is a fundamental dynamic of the universe it governs all laws of physics”.
-John Twomey, participant of the program.

The vinyl record Sights and Sounds was developed collectively as a social practice project.  The sound project was created during three months of workshops, soundwalks,  film screenings, photo workshops, provided as part of SU-CASA Arts Residency founded by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. The record constitutes NYC soundscapes noticed in the sonic memories of four senior participants who live or join social activities at the Hamilton Center in Upper East Side of Manhattan.
